The Electrical Instrumentation and Domestic market uses a great deal of magnets throughout. Some of MSS customers use many different types and in many different ways, often in large quantities. These include using them for Holding, Switching, Sensors, Relays, Actuators, Gauges, Biasing and Motors. With the introduction of the higher strength materials, such as NdFeB and SmCo, many applications have been reduced in size but there is often still a need for high stability materials for sensitive instrumentation and here Alnico is still used
