The electrical instrumentation market uses a great deal of magnets throughout. Some MSS customers use many different types of magnets in many different ways, often in large quantities. Uses include: holding, switching, sensors, relays, actuators, gauges, biasing and motors. With the introduction of the higher strength materials, such as NdFeB and SmCo, many applications have been reduced in size. However, there is often still a need for high stability materials for sensitive instrumentation and here Alnico is still used. |
